MSSU, Crowder partner to give international students transfer opportunity

Neosho, MO – Dr. Katricia Pierson, President of Crowder College and Dr. Dean Van Galen, President of Missouri Southern State University, signed a tuition discount agreement for international students who graduate from Crowder and transfer to MSSU.

“All of the agreements are about students,” stated Dr. Pierson. “We want to make this a smooth and seamless transition and I am proud of the work both institutions have done to make this happen.”

Missouri Southern will charge the out-of-state tuition rate which is a discount from the international rate to those who have graduated with an associate degree from Crowder. International students will apply at MSSU and meet the requirements for acceptance to qualify.

“We value what international students bring to campus,” said Dr. Van Galen. “The courage they display to be here is admirable.”

Both institutions have signed several memorandums of understanding in recent years making it easy for a Crowder graduate to continue their pursuit of a bachelor’s degree with MSSU.
