Five behind bars following child predator sting in Miami
Investigation underway since last fall
A total of five people are now behind bars in northeast Oklahoma following a child predator sting based in Miami, Oklahoma.
The men include Jonathan Hall from Joplin, Michael Lamb, Jr, from Tulsa, Thomas Gissell from California and William Goode from Springfield and Dylan Uhl from Tulsa
All five allegedly contacted what they thought was a young girl on social media, but who was actually an undercover officer with the Child Predator Unit, based out of the Miami Police Department.
Police say the men sent nude photos, requested photos, discussed sex, offered to meet “the girl” for sex and some had child pornography as well.
The investigation started last fall and was a huge team effort with the Oklahoma Judicial District 13 Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force
The following agencies are on that task force:
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, Miami Police Department, Grove Police Department, Colcord Police Department, Quapaw Nation Marshals Service, Eastern Shawnee Tribal Police, Wyandotte Nation Police Department, Miami Nation Tribal Police, and the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
