One person was killed and another injured in an accident on Route J, two miles north of Stockton around 9:45 a.m. Friday morning.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report, the accident took place when a southbound vehicle driven by 54-year-old Larry L. Teer of Humansville traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned ejecting Teer who was not wearing a safety device.
He was pronounced dead at 9:55 a.m. by Cedar County Deputy Coroner Joe Trussell.
A passenger in the vehicle, 55-year-old Leona M. Teer, was seriously injured.
The Patrol report says she was wearing a safety device at the time of the accident.
She was taken by aircraft to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.
