MO Catch-and-Keep trout season begins March 1

The catch-and-keep trout fishing season begins at 6:30 a.m. on March 1st. 

Maramec Spring Park, Bennett Spring State Park, Montauk State Park, and Roaring River State Park are open and stocked daily from March 1 through Oct. 31. 

Missouri Department of Conservation fisheries program expert Andrew Branson says a lot goes into ensuring enough fish daily. 

Anglers are encouraged to purchase their fishing permits ahead of time from any of the numerous vendors around the state, online at mdc.mo.gov/buypermits, or through the Missouri Department of Conservation’s free mobile apps, MO Hunting and MO Fishing.
