Collision with tree injures woman from Lawrence County

A one-vehicle accident on County Road 2170 about 4 miles north of Verona in Lawrence County Wednesday afternoon resulted in injuries to a woman from Aurora.

The Missouri State Highway Patrols says the accident occurred when a car driven by 48-year-old Susan L. Garcia went off the road on an ice and snow-covered hill and hit a tree.

Garcia suffered serious injuries.

She was transported to a Springfield hospital for treatment.
