Galena Schools locked down – suspect arrested on Missouri side of state line

Lockdown at Galena schools this morning.   

Cherokee County Sheriff David Groves reporting around six this (Thursday) morning, someone was trying to steal vehicles at a convenience store in downtown Galena.  

Reports indicate the suspect ran on foot from the store.  

After a search, Jasper County deputies located and arrested the suspect near the power plant on the Missouri side.
