The National Weather Service is urging you to be weather-aware Tuesday evening into early Wednesday morning.
The NWS in Springfield says Accumulating snowfall late Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday with travel impacts likely. Areas along and southeast of I-44 will have the greatest potential for the higher snowfall amounts and impacts.
The Joplin metro could see anywhere between two to five inches of snow by early Wednesday morning.
The heaviest of snow for Joplin is expected to occur between 9pm Tuesday and 3am Wednesday.
