Former Alabama running back found dead in his St. Louis apartment

Ahmaad Galloway, a former Alabama running back, died at age 42. Galloway taught 8th grade English at a St. Louis, Missouri middle school.

According to Susan Reid, the principle at Compton-Drew Middle School, Galloway was found dead in his home on January, 9th. Reid said the former Crimson Tide player worried co-workers when he failed to show up to work that day. This prompted school officials to request a wellness check at his home. When authorities arrived at his apartment they found Galloway dead.

“He was an excellent teacher,” Reid commented. “He bonded with his students, particularly those who were interested in athletics.”
