Rep. Wagner Introduces “Abortion Survivors Protection Act”

One of Missouri’s Congressional members has introduced what she calls an abortion protection bill. 

Missouri Congresswoman Ann Wagner reintroduced the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. 

It ensures that infants born alive after an attempted abortion receive the same protection of law and degree of care as any newborn. 

The legislation also requires practitioners to report violations to law enforcement and penalizes the intentional killing of a born-alive child through fines or imprisonment. 

Wagner says that children should have the right to receive lifesaving care, especially to those who survive an abortion.
