Lamar store robbed Sunday night

On January 8th, 2023, at 10:27pm the Barton County Sheriff’s Department received a call-in reference to an armed robbery that had just occurred at Lamarti’s truck stop in Lamar Heights.

The suspect entered the store and brandished a handgun demanding cash. The suspect then left the store with unknown amount of cash. The suspect entered the passenger seat of what we believe to be a red in color Ford escape. The vehicle then fled North on Interstate 49.

Suspect described as a Black male with tattoos over both eyes, tattoo on his right hand wearing a black Nike hoodie with grey sweatpants and white shoes.
