Parsons Police joins in Kansas “Taking Down DUI” campaign
Each year, local law enforcement reminds people celebrating the holidays to drink and drive.
In Parsons, Kansas, starting around Dec. 26th and continuing through January 2nd, the Parsons Police Department will join many other law enforcement agencies across the state, including the Kansas Highway Patrol, in the “Taking Down DUI” traffic enforcement campaign.
The New Year’s Holiday period outranks most of the other holidays in number of crashes in which at least one of the drivers is impaired by alcohol and/or other drugs.
A DUI can stay with you for life, Parsons Patrol Lieutenant Kyle Wiford, says you should think about getting a ride before you drink.
He says that will help truly keep you in the driver’s seat.
