Fatal pedestrian – vehicle crash near Joplin Airport

The Joplin major crash team investigating a vehicle and pedestrian accident around 6:15 Thursday morning.

According to Joplin Police, the accident was on Missouri 171 near Swede Lane near the Joplin Airport.

The adult female pedestrian was reported dead at the scene.

No name has been released pending notification of next of kin.
