Parsons Police take Darkis into custody; new charges to be filed
Over the past several weeks Parsons officers have been gathering information on the whereabouts of 43-year-old Tremayne Montaque Darkis of Columbus.
Darkis has multiple Felony arrest warrants through Labette County Kansas for multiple charges including Aggravated Kidnapping, and Domestic Battery; a Probation/Parole warrant through the State of Missouri and a Federal arrest warrant through the United States Marshal Service for Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.
Around 10:30 p.m. on November 22, officers obtained information that led them to noticing a vehicle associated with Darkis at a residence in Parsons. When he was approached, Darkis fled on foot but he was able to be taken into custody. Officers located drugs and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle he had fled from.
Darkis is being held in connection to the multiple no bond felony warrants. Parson Police say charges of Felony Interference with Law Enforcement, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia are being sent to the Labette County Attorney’s Office.
