Pittsburg shooting near Sonic

An investigation continues after a shooting in Pittsburg Thursday night. Read the full press release below:

On Thursday night, November 17, 2022 at approximately 9:39 PM, officers with the Pittsburg Police Department were dispatched to the 100 block of W. 23rd St., in Pittsburg, for a report of a shooting incident.

When officers arrived, they located a 32-year-old male, who was suffering from a gunshot wound, around the area of the Sonic Drive-In. The victim, who was uncooperative with officers, was transported to an area hospital with a non-life threatening injury to an extremity, where he remains in stable condition at this time.

During the initial investigation, officers were able to locate a possible person of interest, however the victim remained uncooperative in the investigation.
