What to do before voting today
Election Day has arrived, and people are heading to the polls today.
Kara Clark Summers with the Missouri Association of County Clerks and Election Authorities reminds voters to bring a valid photo I-D with them.
She also says there’s no need to bring your official voter registration card:
“I know people are used to bringing their voter identification card — but that no longer qualifies as an acceptable form of ID in the state of Missouri. So if they’re unsure, they can contact their local election authority, or go on the Missouri Secretary of State’s website to see those acceptable forms of identification.”
Also, voters are not allowed to wear buttons, pins, or clothing that promote a candidate or issue while at polling places, as campaigning at polling places is illegal.
