Holiday Window Decorating Competition set to begin
(JOPLIN, MO) – November 7 – Holiday events have begun in downtown Joplin, including the Holiday Window Decorating Competition.
The annual competition is organized by Downtown Joplin Alliance, which includes different categories for businesses to strive for.
All downtown businesses are encouraged to participate in this year’s theme, “March of the Toys”. Merchants will deck their “halls” (storefronts and/or windows) and are competing for trophies and bragging rights in the following categories:

Best Use of Lights

Most Creative
Public online voting will begin Nov. 17 and continue through Dec. 16. Competition winners will be announced and awarded trophies Dec. 20 in the lobby of City Hall at 2:30 p.m..
