Four missing in Okmulgee area; Human remains found Friday

Police in Okmulgee, Oklahoma reportedly have “more questions than answers” after multiple remains were reported found in a river Friday after four friends vanished in the state on October 9th.

The four men, identified as 32-year-old Mark Chastain, 30-year-old Billy Chastain, 32-year-old Mike Sparks and 29-year-old Alex Stevens had been reported as missing by relatives.

On Friday evening, Okmulgee Police said just before 2 p.m. a citizen noticed what appeared to be body parts in the water of a shallow river southwest of Okmulgee, about 30 miles south of Tulsa.

It was not clear how many bodies were found or if foul play is suspected.

The investigation continues.
