Kansas Medicaid program KanCare hosts public meetings for comment
TOPEKA – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) is holding a series of virtual and in-person public meetings to allow KanCare participants and stakeholders to discuss and provide comments on the program. KanCare beneficiaries and the public are encouraged to attend to learn more about the 1115 Waiver. Under the 1115 Waiver, states can test new or existing approaches to financing and delivering Medicaid and CHIP.
The authority of KanCare is outlined by the Waiver, which also details KanCare’s responsibilities.
KDHE staff will review the following topics:

- Considerations for change
- Options for change
- Outcomes of change
- Small Group Discussion
- Open Question and Comment
