Benton County issues Burn Ban

It’s no secret: The area is in dire need of rain.

In Bentonville, officials in Benton County, Arkansas are taking pre-emptive action where dry conditions and fire are concerned.

Benton County is now under a 24-hour burn ban.

The ban prohibits any kind of outside burning for a period of up to 60 days after the ban is issued OR until is lifted by the County Judge.

Officials say violations are punishable by fines and/or imprisonment.
