Parson Says $85M In Assistance Approved For St. Louis-Area Flood Victims

Governor Mike Parson says more than 85 million dollars in assistance has been approved so far for St. Louis-area flood victims.

The assistance includes more than 35 million dollars from FEMA for grants for homeowners and renters to pay for emergency home repairs, replacing personal property, rental assistance, and other needs not covered by insurance.

It also includes nearly 28 million dollars in flood insurance claims for policyholders, and nearly 22 million dollars in disaster loans from the U-S Small Business Administration.

Governor Parson says anyone impacted by the floods that hasn’t applied for assistance yet needs to do so by the October Seventh deadline.

You can apply in person at any disaster recovery center in the St. Louis area, or visit DisasterAssistance.gov, or call 1-800-621-FEMA.
