Stockton boy run over by Parade Float during Black Walnut Festival

A 12-year-old boy from Stockton was injured in Stockton Saturday afternoon when he fell from a vehicle that was pulling a parade float in the city’s Black Walnut Festival.

The towed unit then ran over him.

The float was being towed by a vehicle driven by 47-year-old Robert E. Kiley of Fair Play, Missouri.

The boy was transferred by aircraft to Mercy Hospital in Springfield in serious condition.
