MoDOT: Repair projects in five SW Missouri Counties begin Sept. 19

Southwest District – A pavement repair project on various routes in Greene, Jasper, Lawrence, McDonald and Newton County to begin the week of September 19, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

Contractor crews will repair the concrete pavement on various routes. Crews will work during both day and nighttime hours.

Drivers can expect flaggers on the road directing them through the work zones, as well as road, lane and ramp closures. Traffic Alerts and message boards will alert traffic of upcoming work zones and closures. Drivers are urged to slow down and pay attention as they approach the pavement project.

Work will be done in the following locations:

  • Greene County
    • Missouri Route 13 at Route CC
    • U.S. Route 65 at Route CC
    • U.S. Route 160 at Missouri Route 123
    • I-44 off-ramp at Chestnut Expressway (Missouri Route 266)
    • I-44 at Glenstone Avenue (Loop 44)
    • U.S. Route 65 ramps at Valley Water Mill Road
    • I-44 Outer Road at Missouri Route 125
    • U.S. Route 65 between Sunshine Street (Route D) and Chestnut Expressway (Business 65)
    • U.S. Route 60 to southbound Route 65 loop
    • U.S. Route 60 to northbound Route 65 ramp
    • U.S. Route 65 to eastbound Route 60 loop
    • U.S. Route 65 ramps at Evans Road
    • Evans Road east of Route 65
  • Jasper County
    • County Road 100 at I-44
    • Missouri Route 37 at I-44
    • I-44 to I-49 ramps
    • I-44 between Missouri Route 249 and Prigmor Avenue
  • Lawrence County
    • Missouri Route 97 at I-44
  • McDonald County
    • Missouri Route 59 at Missouri Route 76 in Anderson
    • Missouri Route 59 south of Missouri Route 76
  • Newton County
    • Missouri Route 86 at I-49
    • I-49 between Route FF and south of Route AA

Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.

Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. – Columbia is doing the work for a low bid amount of $1.4million.

The project is to be completed by December 1, 2022.
