Missouri State Troopers Report 7 Fatalities Over Labor Day Weekend
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports at least seven people are dead after incidents on the roads and waters over the Labor Day weekend.
Five people died in traffic crashes, one person drowned, and one victim died in a boating accident. Twenty-one-year-old Ryan McGee of Moody drowned while wading in the White River in Ozark County Sunday afternoon.
Troopers say 29-year-old Tyler Elliot of Louisville, Kentucky died after exiting a boat on Lake of the Ozarks Saturday and trying to swim without a life jacket.
There was one fatal traffic crash Friday, three people died on Missouri roads Saturday including a four-year-old boy, and one man was killed in a Labor Day crash.
