Gasoline prices continue to drop nationally, locally

The price at the pump continues to drop.

In Missouri, the website gasprices.com lists several locations in Missouri as having prices between $2.95 cents a gallon and $2.99 a gallon. Three of those are in Monett and Pierce City.

Joplin’s prices, according to the website this morning, vary between $3.01 a gallon and about $3.35 a gallon.

Gas prices have now declined for 79 consecutive days amid falling global oil prices, sending the national average price per gallon to its lowest level since March.

Data from AAA shows the national average gas price now sits at $3.81 per gallon.

That compares with $4.20 one month ago.
