Neosho woman, 7 kids hurt in two-vehicle accident

A woman from Neosho and her seven kids were hurt in an accident Thursday morning east of Jefferson City.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says it happened in Gasconade County when 36-year-old Ashlee Nelson’s Ford transit van crossed the center line of U.S. 50 and hit a semi-truck.

Nelson, her 13-year-old son and 4-year-old son were then life-flighted to hospitals in St. Louis with serious injuries.

A 7-year-old girl and 10-year-old also suffered serious injuries.

An infant, 2-year-old boy and 15-year-old girl suffered minor to moderate injuries.
