Oklahoma sheriff deputy serving eviction papers shot, killed

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – Authorities say one Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office deputy was killed and a second deputy wounded while serving eviction papers at a home on the southwest side of Oklahoma City.

Sheriff’s Office spokesman Aaron Brilbeck says Sgt. Bobby Swartz was taken to a hospital, where he died.

The other deputy was in stable condition.

Oklahoma City Police Sgt. Dillon Quirk says a suspect in the shooting was taken into custody following a vehicle chase that ended near the entrance of Tinker Air Force Base.

Police say the suspect and police exchanged fire during the chase.
