One watercraft strikes another, boy from St. Louis area seriously injured
Two 17-year-old boys were having having a good time operating their personal watercraft units Saturday at Mark Twain Lake northwest of St. Louis.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the fun came to an end around 1:30 Saturday afternoon when the Seadoo operated by one of the teens made a sudden turn and smashed into the Polaris watercraft operated by the other.
The boy who was struck suffered serious injuries.
He was airlifted to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
The other youth was not injured.
Both boys are from Hazelwood in St. Louis County.
