DNR: Stay Out Of Flood Waters

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources is warning the public to stay out of flood waters. 

While swimming or wading through water might seem enticing, D-N-R officials say pools of floodwater can be heavily contaminated. 

Water that breaches a river’s banks or lakeshore can easily pick up wastewater, petroleum products, and other hazardous chemicals and materials. 

Don’t allow children or pets near flooded areas, and boaters should avoid flood waters as well.
