Hartzler picks up Missouri Cattlemen’s Association Endorsement
Points out differences with opponent Eric Schmitt
Missouri 4th District Congresswoman and U.S. Senate candidate Vicky Hartzler picked up the endorsement of the Missouri Cattlemen’s Association during a visit to the Joplin Stockyards today.
Hartzler, former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens, and Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt are the top three candidates in the race.
She says there are some big differences between her and opponent Eric Schmitt – especially when it comes to China.
“When he was a State Senator, he tried to turn the St. Louis airport into a China Hub,” she said.
“He sponsored legislation to use over $480 million of our state tax dollars to give to companies to endeavor and promote this event,” Hartzler continued. “He didn’t just sponsor or promote it, he actually met with members of the Chinese Communist Party encouraging them to be part of this deal. Then he went to China,” she stated.
“I have been sanctioned from China and banned from China because of my strong stand against them,” Hartzler said. “You do not pander to them. You do not negotiate with them. You have to show strength with them.”
She had praise for Trump’s policies but the former President recently said he won’t back Hartzler.
She has picked up the endorsement of Missouri Senator Josh Hawley.
