Saturday-morning cycle accident injures man from Diamond

67-year-old John L. Steele of Diamond went for a ride on his Harley Davidson Saturday morning.

It was all going good until around 8:30 a.m.

That’s when the Missouri State Highway Patrol says Steele’s eastbound motorcycle went off I-44 and overturned.

The wreck happened about 7 miles east of Joplin in Jasper County.

The Patrol says Steele suffered only moderate injuries.

He was transported to a Joplin hospital for treatment.
