Carthage man arrested in connection with fatal crash last week
The driver of a vehicle in which a Carthage man was killed on Saturday, July 16th near Grand Falls at 5400 Riverside Drive in Joplin has been placed under arrest.
19-year-old Joseph C. Hill of Carthage was arrested by Joplin Police today in reference to the fatality crash.
The deceased passenger from this crash was identified as 19-year-old Keenan A. Reed of Carthage, Missouri.
Another passenger was taken to the hospital for treatment.
During the investigation it was found that Hill was operating the vehicle in an intoxicated condition.
The following charges were submitted to the Newton County Prosecutors Office: Involuntary Manslaughter, Driving While Intoxicated, Assault 2nd Degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Driving with a Suspended License.
Hill is currently in custody at the Joplin City Jail.
The investigation into this incident is still ongoing.
