Blue Alert: On duty officer shot in Kansas City, suspect in custody

UPDATE: Police have arrested a suspect

An officer was killed in the line of duty today in Kansas City, Missouri.

The suspect is a white male with brown hair driving a gray Ford Taurus with a temporary license plate. That license plate number is 03GU43.

When the officer initiated a routine traffic stop the driver exited the vehicle and opened fire on the officer causing serious injury. If you have any information about the shooting or if you spot the suspects vehicle please contact your local law enforcement office immediately.
