Sunday night fracus at the Ottawa County Jail

There was trouble in the Ottawa County jail in Miami Sunday night.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office reports that four inmates started a fire last night, causing damage after becoming upset over one inmate being given a pencil.

According to a Sheriff’s office Facebook post, a fire was first set in a recreational yard and then inmates started breaking windows.

Inmates also broke a waterline in a cell. First responders were called to the jail.

The Sheriff’s office says no one was seriously injured in the fracus.
