One injured in I-49 accident near Carthage

A Friday morning accident on on Interstate 49 at the Carthage city limits resulted in injuries to a driver from Carthage.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred around 9 Friday morning when a 2007 Mazda 5 minivan driven by 28-year-old Tristen J. McClanahan of Carthage, struck Mack truck driven by 22 year old Dalton H. Buchanan of Seymour Missouri.

Both drivers were wearing safety devices.

Buchanan was not injured.

McClanahan was transported to Mercy Joplin.

The Highway Patrol report lists her as having moderate injuries.
