Fort Leonard Wood Staff Sergeant Indicted For Sexual Exploitation of Minors

A federal indictment charges an active duty Army staff sergeant at Fort Leonard Wood with the sexual exploitation of two children.  

A grand jury in Springfield indicted 38-year-old Robert Walkup of St. Robert on three counts Tuesday.   

The indictment alleges that Walkup used a minor identified as Jane Doe 1 to produce child pornography from May of 2020 to May 2021 and John Doe 1 between May and mid-December of 2020.    

He's also charged with receiving child pornography.  

The U-S Attorney's Office says Walkup is being held in the Pulaski County jail on state charges.
