Man hits deer while riding motorcycle in Christian County, dies

A crash between a motorcycle and a deer on Saturday in Christian County has taken the life of the motorcycle rider from Ava, Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 51-year-old Tommy Hampton was riding his Honda motorcycle outside of Oldfield, Missouri when he struck the deer.

The crash caused the cycle to overturn. Hampton was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
