Patrol: Missouri hospital evacuated on report of armed
(AP) — Patients and staff have been evacuated from a western Missouri hospital after a report of an armed man.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says it has no indication that any shots were fired Friday at the Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
The patrol says multiple law enforcement agencies are on the scene but have yet to find an armed suspect in or around the facility.
The medical center tweeted that the report came from the medical center’s main building.
The medical center has about 50 beds.
Warrensburg is a town of about 20,000 people about 60 miles southeast of Kansas City, Missouri.
