Jasper R-5 Schools arming select teachers

To bolster security at Jasper Missouri schools, the school board has approved a plan to allow some teachers to carry concealed weapons.    

This step is meant to provide resistance and to protect students and staff in case an armed intruder would walk into a Jasper school.   

Teachers participating in the program are receiving training this summer to be ready for the new school year this fall.
