Remains found in Camden County identified

The Camden County Missouri Sheriff’s Office has identified remains found in a remote area of that county in October as those of Texas County resident Gary Kaeter.

Arrowhead hunters found the remains.

Kaeter was reported missing all the way back in May 2016.

Later, his car was towed by law enforcement away from the area where the remains were found.

DNA from a family member in California was used to determine the identity.

Investigators say they do not suspect foul play in connection with the death.
