Death investigation underway in Monett

A death investigation is underway in Monett after two people were found dead in that city Thursday night.

Officers reportedly responded to a home in the 100 block of West Nellie Street in Monett around 8 p.m. on Thursday night.

Inside, officers found 71-year-old Daniel Olson and 64-year-old Tamara Olson dead.

Both bodies have been sent to the coroner’s office for an autopsy.

The deaths are currently under investigation.

Police say there appears to be no danger to the community at this time.
