Webb City business a total loss after Friday afternoon fire.

A fire Friday afternoon has devastated a business in Webb City.

Fire crews from Webb City and other departments were alerted to the fire around 4:30 p.m. Friday at the C.B.D. Automotive repair shop at 501 N. Main Street.

The fire reportedly involved two vehicles inside the shop’s garage. Crews from Webb City, Oronogo, Carterville and Joplin fought the fire.

A Webb City Fire Department spokesman told NewsTalk KZRG the fire was brought under control fairly quickly but C.B.D. Auto is a total loss.

The Webb City Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire.

There were no injuries.
