Connecticut Governor Trying To Persuade MO Businesses To Move There
The governor of Connecticut is openly persuading businesses in Missouri to move to his state because abortion remains legal there.
In both an open letter and YouTube video, governor Ned Lamont tells Missouri business owners that Connecticut has, quote,
“the workforce, the high quality of life, and the values that we know will make you, your families, and your employees feel welcome.”
“With the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe-V-Wade, there are many states across the country outlawing a woman’s right to make her own reproductive choices — not here in Connecticut, not as long as I’m Governor.”
Lamont sent letters to other states besides Missouri that have outlawed or severely restricted access to abortion since last week’s High Court decision.
