I-49 bridges Over Opossum, Coon Creeks reduced to one lane June 27-29
Two bridges on I-49 will undergo surface work early next week, resulting in speed reductions, reduced lanes and possible temporary delays.
It will be happening Northbound I-49/Coon Creek bridge near Mile Mark 67 and southbound I-49/Opossum Creek bridge near Mile Marker 65 in Jasper County
Work will take place between 7 a.m.-7 p.m., Monday-Wednesday, June 27-29
Contractor crews working to repair bridge deck/driving surfaces over Opossum and Coon creeks
Traffic Impacts:
- Both bridges reduced to one lane in each direction
- At least one lane OPEN in each direction at all times
- Speed limit reduced to 60 mph through the work zones
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zones
- No signed detour
- Drivers should find alternate routes
- Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
