Local Civil Air Patrol squadron to hold Change of Command Ceremony

The Colonel Travis Hoover “Raiders” Civil Air Patrol Squadron will hold a Change Of Command Ceremony at Joplin Regional Airport, 5009 Dennis Weaver Drive in Joplin.

The ceremony will be held inside of the Community Room in the General Aviation Terminal at the Joplin Regional Airport on Tuesday, June 21st, at 5:45 pm.

Major Henry R. Cole will be relieved by Lieutenant Colonel Kevin R. Sidenstricker.

Colonel Thomas J. Martin, Jr., the Missouri Wing Commander of the Civil Air Patrol; and Major Greg Lewis, Missouri Wing/Group V Commander will be in attendance.

Founded on Dec. 1, 1941, to mobilize the nation’s civilian aviation resources for national defense service, CAP has evolved into a premier public service organization that still carries out emergency service missions when needed  in the air and on the ground.
