In Kansas: All six state universities to have flat tuitions in 2022-23
Pittsburg State University included
All six state universities in Kansas will have flat tuitions for the 2022-23 academic year after Gov. Laura Kelly took action last week to prevent increases.
The Kansas Board of Regents on Wednesday took final action on the tuition rates for the six state universities.
This marks the fourth consecutive year the Kansas Board of Regents has approved flat tuition for undergraduate resident students at the University of Kansas.
Emporia State University, Fort Hays State University, Kansas State University, Pittsburg State University and Wichita State University have had no undergraduate resident tuition increases in three of the past four years.
Kelly approved the fiscal year 2023 budget while keeping the restrictions on tuition rates.
Although the the legislature approved removing the restrictions, Kelly vetoed the action.
