St. Charles man is sentenced for having 11,000 pictures. 500 videos of child pornography

A St. Charles, Missouri man is set to spend the next six and a half years in prison for having thousands of pictures and hundreds of videos of child pornography. 

Not only is Marcus Gardner headed to prison, he’s also been ordered to pay nearly 80-thousand dollars in restitution to the young victims identified by law enforcement.

The 48-year-old pleaded guilty in March to visiting an overseas website more than 11-hundred times to buy child pornography.

Investigators say his criminal collection included some 11,000 pictures and 500 videos of child sexual abuse.

Garnder wasn’t the website’s only customer as Homeland Security investigators say the site had made at least $19 million in profit from its users.
