MO man charged in connection with a series of arsons; one that was deadly
A man from Kansas City has been charged in connection with a series of arsons in northwest Missouri; one that was deadly.
Caldwell County Sheriff Mitchell Allen reports in a news release the department has arrested 27-year-old Harold Edwards Jr. on three counts of arson, three counts of burglary, and three counts property damage in connection with the three house fires set May 10th in rural Polo.
Edwards is being held without bond in the Caldwell County jail.
All three fires occurred within a two-hour period on the same road.
Firefighters found the body of 96-year-old Lorene Fickess in the charred remains of one of the fires. The other two homes were vacant.
Caldwell County officials say additional charges could be added.
