Woman from Missouri sentenced to contributing to the delinquency of a minor
Harbored, had inappropriate sexual relationship with runaway teen
MIAMI, Okla. – 20-year-old Madolyn Grace Boyer of Clever, Missouri was given a two-year deferred sentence and fined $500 in Ottawa County District Court after pleading guilty to contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Boyer’s plea arose from a traffic stop in Fairland, Oklahoma after which she confessed to police officers to be harboring a runaway teenage from Arkansas.
Boyer told police she was taking the victim to a juvenile shelter in Missouri.
She reportedly confessed to having an “inappropriate sexual relationship” with the 15-year-old who she said she thought was 17 years old at the time the physical relationship began.
Prosecutors said felony charges were not filed because the sexual relations did not take place in the state of Oklahoma. However, information about the disposition of the case will be sent to officials in Missouri for possible further charges.
The juvenile’s legal guardian was granted custody of the teenager.
