Man threatening people with shotgun arrested
In Parsons, Kansas, police have taken a man who was reported to be threatening people with a shotgun into custody.
A police report says on Thursday 25-year-old Anthony Blankenship tossed the reported weapon out of the vehicle just before stopping his vehicle during a police chase. Officers say the 12 gauge pump shotgun was loaded.
Police say Anthony could be charged with several crimes including aggravated
assault; defacing Identification marks of a firearm; felon in possession of a firearm; no valid driver’s
license; and no vehicle license tag or proof of insurance. .
Requests for those charges are being sent to the Labette County Attorney’s office.
Police Chief Robert Spinks congratulated his officers for taking a potentially dangerous felon on the streets in Parsons.
