Authorities continue to search for driver involved in pursuit

Authorities are still looking for a male driver who reportedly stole a truck in Newton County and was involved in a pursuit in portions of southwest Missouri and southeast Kansas.

The chase began near Galena and proceeded across the state line to Joplin where the truck entered the J & D Offroad Park.

However, the truck ultimately became stuck. The suspect then fled on foot just north of the city, around the Zora and Lone Elm area.

The truck was later found with the aid of a drone.

The driver is reportedly wanted in Missouri on felony charges of aggravated domestic battery.

Police say you should contact authorities if you think you have seen the driver.
